EPION letter to MTO regarding new psychosis reporting regulations
At the September 21st Network Meeting, it was decided that a letter would be sent to the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) relaying our membership’s concerns about a recent MTO regulation requiring physicians to report patients who experience psychosis. (more…)

EPION & SSO join forces on #weknowpsychosis campaign to highlight the evidence linking cannabis and psychosis
In honour of Mental Illness Awareness Week 2018 and the forthcoming legalization of cannabis in Canada, EPION (Early Psychosis Intervention Ontario Network) and the SSO (Schizophrenia Society of Ontario) have partnered on a social media campaign to highlight some of the research evidence linking cannabis and psychosis. EPION Spotlight on… SISC Fidelity Pilot: Where?
Where do we go from here?
As mentioned in last week’s Spotlight, the outcomes of last year’s fidelity assessments supported a second round. The SISC, Gord Langill, Avra Selick, Janet Durbin and Shannel Butt have been working diligently to coordinate all the pieces needed to get the second wave of fidelity assessments rolled out. EPION SISC: Fidelity Pilot report now available!
EPION’s Standards Implementation Committee is happy to announce the Fidelity Pilot Report is now available. “Implementing a volunteer peer fidelity assessment in Ontario Early Psychosis Intervention programs: what did we learn?” describes the Fidelity Pilot project conducted by the Standards Implementation Steering Committee (SISC).
